Meet Sarah.

Meet Sarah, one half of Genaaid, a company she founded with her colleague Maaike in 2016. Together, they offer sewing classes where they share their expertise in designing, sewing and finishing garments. Sarah and Maaike first met while studying fashion design at the College of Arts.

In addition to her work with Genaaid, Sarah runs her own slow fashion label called Sarah van der Wilk. Her designs are influenced by traditional Japanese art and focus on subtle and refined pieces. Sarah is dedicated to creating garments with care and attention to detail.

Teaching sewing classes at Genaaid allows her to pass on her knowledge and skills to others who share her passion for textiles and design. She always encourages a sense of community and creativity during her workshops.
