In this two-hour workshop, hosted by the textiled designer Giny, participants are invited to explore the captivating world of creating 'marble' patterns, a unique blend of art and craftsmanship.
This workshop is an opportunity to delve into the process of applying paint to an emulsion bath using a pipette, a technique that allows for the creation of mesmerising designs. With an array of basic paint colours at their disposal, attendees are encouraged to experiment and mix these hues to develop their own personalised colour palette.
The essence of this workshop lies in the art of manipulation. Participants use combs and pens to shape and mould the applied paint, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations. The beauty of this process is its unpredictability and the joy of witnessing the emergence of unexpected patterns.
The initial experiments in this artistic journey are transferred onto paper, allowing participants to see their designs take physical form. The workshop then advances to transferring these intricate colour patterns onto textiles. Participants have the unique opportunity to imprint their designs onto four different types of natural and ecotex-certified fabrics, all prepared for printing. This step elevates the experience, allowing for the creation of bespoke and sustainable art pieces.
To conclude, participants wash and dry their workpieces, with the option to frame these exquisite pieces of art. This workshop offers a chance to bond over the shared joy of artistic creation and the discovery of new skills in a professional yet inviting atmosphere.

Textile designer
Meet Giny, a passionate artisan with a heart for crafting and a commitment to sustainability.
Initially trained in handicrafts as a teacher, she found limited opportunities upon graduating. Undeterred, she pursued a career as a caregiver while nurturing her creative spirit through her personal studio.
Over the past decade, Giny's studio became a place where her creativity flourished. As she honed her skills, she witnessed a steady growth in her craft. In 2019, Giny made the bold decision to leave her caregiving career behind and devote herself entirely to her studio.
Central to Giny's artistic ethos is her commitment to sustainability. She's dedicated to breathing new life into existing materials, embracing a waste-free and transparent approach to her work. From repurposing boat canvas to salvaging sample fabrics from interior shops to create toiletry bags, Giny transforms overlooked materials into timeless pieces of art.
