In a two-day workshop, spanning 5.5 hours each day, participants are invited to discover the craft of tufting under the guidance of Jinmo and Jeenie. This engaging session starts with an introduction to the brand's unique philosophy and aesthetic.
The workshop is thoughtfully structured to enable each participant to create a personal design measuring 90x90cm. Emphasising individual creativity, the session provides an opportunity to select from a palette of colours, carefully curated to inspire and bring each design to life. This step is crucial in ensuring that each piece reflects the personal style and vision of its creator.
A significant portion of the workshop is dedicated to familiarising participants with the equipment essential for textile design. This hands-on experience is designed to instil confidence and competence in using the tools of the trade.
Following this, the attendees will be guided through the intricate process of tufting their creations, transforming their designs from mere concepts to tangible art pieces. Participants will go beyond traditional cut-pile tufting, also utilising long-cut pile and loop-cut techniques. (Plus manual tufting tools and handmade techniques) This adds more variety to the rug and gets it closer to the ideal you want to craft.
Once you've booked your first session, you're free to choose any time that suits you to continue your tufting journey.
No references or tufting guidelines are necessary because you have the freedom to create anything you desire. Before the workshop, we will have a discussion about your artwork to discuss ideas and plans.
