The workshop starts with an introduction to Yes Make, a sustainable craft space, and your teacher for the day.
Firstly you will leant about the materials and tools you'll be working with, all the wood used at Yes Make is reclaimed from across London, for this workshop you will be using reclaimed mahogany from Smithfield Market. The origin of the wood used in each workshop is always shared, giving you a deeper appreciation of the materials.
With the basics covered, it's time to start making your chopsticks. You'll make four sets, with the team on hand to offer advice and demonstrate techniques for shaping and refining your pieces.

Located in a community garden, Yes Make provides a welcoming space where participants can learn essential woodworking techniques, work with high quality reclaimed wood and contribute to projects that give back to the community.
