  • This extraordinary woodworking workshop is led by the talented duo, Harry and Johanna. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience as you dive into the art of crafting your very own charcuterie board.

We'll begin with an introduction to sustainable materials and their origins, emphasising our commitment to eco-friendly practices. Ensuring everyone's safety is paramount, so we'll conduct a comprehensive safety briefing, familiarising you with the tools we'll be using.

Next, it's time to unleash your creativity! You'll have the exciting opportunity to handpick a piece of reclaimed wood sourced from the offcuts of our furniture business. Whether you wish to design a custom board shape or use one of our stencils, the choice is entirely yours.

Under the expert guidance of Harry and Johanna, you'll bring your design to life using either a bandsaw or jigsaw, depending on your chosen shape. Witness your charcuterie board take form right before your eyes.

Refining and perfecting your board is the next step. With a variety of tools at your disposal, including hand sandpaper, an orbital sander, and a disc/belt sander, you'll achieve a smooth and polished finish that showcases the natural beauty of the wood.

To protect and enhance your charcuterie board, you'll learn how to apply a professional-grade, natural hardwax oil product such as Osmo or Rubio Monocoat. This final touch will ensure your board not only looks stunning but also stands the test of time.

Now, here's where the magic happens! By the end of this immersive workshop, lasting approximately 4.5 hours, you'll proudly walk away with your very own handcrafted charcuterie board. Picture the joy of serving delectable cheeses and cured meats on a board that you personally designed and brought to life with your own hands.

Join Harry and Johanna in their charming and inviting workshop, nestled at the end of the garden. Filled with an assortment of buzzing tools and reclaimed wood awaiting transformation, this space exudes passion and craftsmanship.

Passionate and detail-oriented, Harry and Johanna will guide you every step of the way, sharing their expertise and fostering your newfound woodworking skills.

I attended Johanna and Harry’s workshop last weekend and really enjoyed it. They are friendly, nice and obviously very talented woodworkers! The three hour class followed a step by step process from turning a plank of wood into a chopping board. I’d recommend this class to anyone and everyone!

We had a great time creating our charcuterie boards - Harry and Johanna are very friendly, patient and knowledgeable, they really helped us realise our vision, even if the shape we designed was a bit tricky to create. Really love the result and the knowledge we gained! Would absolutely recommend this workshop. Leila & Simon

I bought this workshop to spend quality time with my boyfriend during his holiday. We both love creating something useful for home and bumped into this wood working workshop though a Google search. We were the only ones in the class so we had both artisan helping us which was great. Johanna and Harry gives precise and clear instructions and are kind and fun. It made us feel like we were with a group of friends, which was lovely. We both made really professional looking chopping board that we will be proud to display in our next dinner party. We will definitely be back for the brush workshop.

My wife and I took part in this session run by Harry and Johanna. It was excellent, really well run and organised. They are both incredibly knowledgeable about woodworking and about how to build and use materials sustainably. The session is great value - considering you get all of the skills and experience they have built up over years, and you get to walk away with your own charcuterie board! As completely novice woodworkers, I was so impressed with the time and care Harry and Johanna took in explaining everything and making sure we felt comfortable with what we were doing. I honestly can't recommend the class enough - it was brilliant.
