Meet Ania.

Ceramicist

London

Ania wasn't always a ceramist. Before immersing herself full-time in the world of clay, she worked in the civil service. Her journey into ceramics began with evening classes, a hobby that gradually grew into her true passion over the course of 15 years. Now, with a degree in ceramics under her belt, Ania has her own studio where she teaches pottery classes and shares her love and expertise with others.

Ania's creations are primarily in black and white stoneware, reflecting her deep-rooted inspirations. Growing up in communist Poland, she was surrounded by Brutalist architecture and industrial concrete. The raw materials, sharp geometric shapes, and minimalist colour schemes of the era have left a lasting impression on her work. Additionally, her visits to Kyoto, Japan, have significantly influenced her style, leading to a fusion of Eastern and Western elements in her pieces.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced potter, Ania's classes are an inspiring and educational experience. Join her to explore the art of ceramics and discover the joy of transforming raw clay into beautiful, functional works of art.
