    This group workshop is designed to create lasting memories while learning the craft of artisan chocolate making. Led by Rita, an award-winning chocolatier, you will take part in a hands-on session where you'll make your own bonbons. No previous experience is required, so it's ideal for beginners who want to explore chocolate making.

    The workshop starts with an introduction to working with chocolate and applying colour. Rita will explain tempering techniques, how to prepare the chocolate moulds and the steps for adding colour. You'll also learn how to make bonbon shells and work with different toppings and fillings.

    You'll then move on to making your own chocolates. You'll colour the bonbon moulds, make the chocolate shells and fill them with two different fillings. Although the workshop focuses on decoration techniques rather than recipes, you'll be given a few recipes to try out at home.

    While the chocolates are hardening, your group will enjoy a chocolate tasting session, sampling a variety of artisan chocolate bars. This will give you a chance to try different flavours and learn more about the chocolate making process.

    Once the chocolate has hardened, you'll remove your bonbons from the moulds. At the end of the session, each participant will take home one or two bars of chocolate and around 20 bonbons.

    This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

    Wecandoo - Meet Margarita

    Meet Margarita

    Chocolate artist

    Meet Rita, a passionate chocolatier with a unique artistic flair. Born in Moscow and later settling in Berlin in her twenties, Rita spent nearly two decades immersed in the world of theatre and visual arts. Her love of nature and fine food eventually sparked a new creative path that led her to view food through the lens of an artist. This shift inspired her to pursue a career in pastry, specialising in chocolate and bonbon making.

    Rita founded 'Carambole' and moved to Amsterdam, where she began hosting tastings, workshops and performances, all centred around her love of chocolate. Her creations have been featured at chocolate festivals, art and design exhibitions, combining her artistic background with the culinary world. She has also taught hands-on chocolate techniques at the renowned Cacaomuseum in Amsterdam.

    In 2020, Rita's exceptional skills were recognised when she won gold, silver and bronze awards at the prestigious Academy of Chocolate in London. A year later, in 2021, she moved her studio to Amersfoort and continued to give masterclasses there and in Amsterdam. In the same year, Rita's mastery reached new heights when she won three gold awards and the most coveted title for bonbon makers - the Golden Bonbon trophy!
