Welcome to Dirk's big workshop!Ā
During this day, you will learn about woodworking while creating your own homemade furniture.Ā
After a shared moment, creative ideas will arise in the exchange. You will choose what you want to build : a selfmade furniture, a game, a chair, etc.Ā
Dirk will help you turn your idea into wood throughout the day using different machinery like the circular saw, the band saw or the sander.Ā
Experience or skills are not required, Dirk will help you step by step on your way. So no worries !Ā
After this full day of learning, you will proudly bring your creation home!Ā

Meet Dirk
Woodworker
Dirk succeeded in bringing together his passion as a furniture maker and his interest in human beings.
From his years of experience as a social assistant, facilitator and trainer in various social organizations, he gained experience in empowering people. He knows how to appeal to people's strengths and how to get them to participate in the process.Ā
Ten years ago, he took an additional course and started working as a furniture maker. He is inspired by an ecological philosophy and wants to contribute to a sustainable local economy. From a non-judgmental attitude, he strives to stimulate people toward the development of self-acceptance.
He is looking forward to welcoming you into his HouātHart workshop, where you will have the opportunity to share and discover through stimulating your mind and creativity. From there the name HouātHart.
Challenge lover, Dirk works in a very big hall with many other craftsmen. All share their machinery and work with wood.

Super leuke workshop en top locatie. Dirk is een zeer aangenaam persoon, die naar je ideeƫn luistert, bijstuurt waar nodig maar het uitvoeren aan de deelnemer laat. Zo fijn om met je creatie naar huis te gaan. Zeker een aanrader!! Zou het direct opnieuw doen.

Een leuke ervaring. Wij hebben een leuke en aangename instructeur leren kennen. Die rustig je ding laat doen en bij stuurt waar nodig.

Amazing experience! Even having no previous experience I could create my own small closet in one day! Dirk provided a lot of support and freedom to choose my project! The atelier has all the tools needed! I definitely recommend trying it out! Thanks once again Dirk :)

I had a lot of fun with Dirk. He has that balance between giving great advice and letting you do your own thing. Great workshop if you want to learn how to reuse wood and how to make things from 0. Don't be worried if its your first time and for sure go for it if you have already worked with wood before!!

Hele fijne dag in het inspirerende maakatelier ! Dirk is de perfecte gepassioneerde persoon om je in je eerste houtcreatie opdracht te begeleiden. Een dag waarop de je hoofd helemaal leeg kan maken en enkel hoeft te focussen op je eigen ontwerp. Zeker een aanrader!

Ik heb een superleuke en leerrijke dag achter de rug. Dirk en zijn sidekick hielpen ons met alles. Ik ging naar huis met een zelfgemaakte tuinbank: dat had ik nooit durven dromen!
