The workshop in detail
Initiate yourself into the world of vegetable dyeing with Juliette, and learn how to dye a cushion cover or a scarf during a fun and playful workshop!
Before starting the practical part, you will get to explore Juliette's world on a visit to her charming stone workshop, before taking in a presentation of the various dyeing plants.
Juliette will then explain how to prepare the dyeing vat and show you the different vegetable dyes that can be used.
You will then be able to choose the colours and patterns you want to feature on your accessory: if you want to make patterns, she will teach you the different folding techniques known as "shibori".
You will use many ingredients, such as avocado, onion, or mordant, to fix the dye to the fabric.
Having discovered the mysteries of dyeing thanks to Juliette, you will have the chance to leave with your beautiful scarf or cushion cover, dyed according to your personal tastes and preferences!

The studio is located close to Forest park and is easily reached by tram.

Meet Juliette
Stylist and Dyer
Creative since she was a little girl, Juliette started sewing and vegetable-dyeing after a training course at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels! She is also developing her own brand of clothing and attaches importance to the ethics of her designs: she favours local products or upcycling when selecting all of her raw materials.
Juliette also passes on her passion to others in a small workshop that she runs alongside another textile designer, Charlotte, who knits! Their beautiful design space, located in the heart of Saint Gilles, is very charming. Its exposed stone and small garden will transport you away!
These courses allow her to share her expertise with joy and dynamism, thus making it more accessible and more fun!

Atelier super, intense en apprentissage et riche en perspectives de toutes sortes pour commencer l’éco-dyeing chez soi avec presque rien ! Juliette nous a tout de suite plongées dans le vif du sujet en partageant généreusement ses connaissances ! À faire ou refaire !
