  • In this three-hour workshop, hosted by the experienced chef Maisie, participants are invited to delve into the world of artisanal baking at Hearth Bakery.Ā 

    This immersive experience is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of baking with a focus on the versatility and rich flavors of rye.

    The workshop begins with an introduction to Hearth Bakery, where attendees are acquainted with the bakery's ethos and the fundamental principles of baking with natural ingredients.

    A portion of the workshop is dedicated to the art of sourdough baking. Participants learn the step-by-step process of preparing sourdough, a skill that serves as a foundation for many artisanal bread recipes. Maisie ensures that each participant gains hands-on experience, making the learning process both engaging and informative.

    The journey continues with an exploration of baking cakes and crackers using rye. These sections of the workshop are not only instructional but also provide an opportunity for creativity, as attendees experiment with different flavours and techniques under Maisie's expert guidance.

    At the end of the workshop participants will have there own selection of rye treats to take home, including bread, cake and crackers!Ā
