    Evening 1:

On your first evening, you'll dive into the intricate process of screen printing. Together, you'll prepare the screen, a critical step that involves coating it with photosensitive emulsion, exposing it to create a stencil, and then carefully washing out that stencil to perfection. You'll also delve into the world of open screen printing and paper stencils.

As you explore the workshop, you'll have the chance to examine an array of binders, pigments, and special effects such as foil and flock, adding an exciting dimension to your printing repertoire.

    Evening 2:

Building on your newfound knowledge, in your second session you'll master the art of color alignment, a crucial technique in printmaking that ensures precision in your creations.

With Sarahs guidance you'll venture into the realm of offset printing, pushing the boundaries of your printmaking skills. Screen masking, another exciting facet of printmaking, will be explored, allowing you to add depth and complexity to your designs.

This is your opportunity to experiment and create using the techniques you've learned over the two evenings. Let your creativity flow as you produce unique and captivating prints.

I did the workshop with the lovely Sarah in early November and it was a cool way to create souvenirs from my favourite travel memory. I loved learning and doing screen printing and exposure and seeing how the process can be used to design various things I highly recommend if you want to learn a new skill and get a nice souvenir for yourself or others out of it!
