Your own jewellery set

The workshop in detail

  • 3h30
  • 15 years min.
  • 1 to 2 participants
  • Up to 2 people for a privatization
  • In a 3.5-hour workshop, Sara offers an enriching and creative experience in jewellery making using recycled Sterling silver and organic castings. This session is designed for individuals of all skill levels, with no prior experience necessary. Sara provides all the essential tools, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable learning experience for every participant.

The workshop focuses on various organic casting techniques such as water-casting and spaghetti-casting. Participants will have the opportunity to melt and pour silver into different mediums, resulting in a variety of unique shapes and pebbles. This hands-on approach allows for a personal touch in every creation.

After casting, attendees can choose from their own organic silver pieces to craft a personalised set of jewellery. The options include a pair of earrings, with Sara soldering the ear pins; a simple open ring, which will be made together during the workshop; and a pendant, with Sara soldering the jump-ring. Participants will then perform the final polishing of their pieces, giving them a professional and finished look.

The design and possible combinations of the jewellery are influenced by the organic pieces created during the session, making each creation distinct and personal.

The workshop fee covers an allocation of silver (maximum 25g) for melting and remelting, silver wire for one open ring, two jump-rings, and a pair of ear pins. Additional silver materials are available for purchase upon consultation during the workshop.

    Wecandoo - Meet Sara

    Meet Sara

    Jeweller

Sara's creative journey in jewellery making and design began in her hometown of Pesaro, Italy. Inspired by her mother's custom-designed jewellery, she witnessed the magic of artisans bringing ideas to life with beauty and craftsmanship.

After pursuing a PhD in Environmental Engineering in Scotland, Sara felt a persistent desire to create and embarked on a new adventure. She dedicated years to honing her skills in sustainable silversmithing, aligning her passion with her environmental background.

Relocating to Antwerp, a renowned hub for jewellers, Sara established HumbleForgeJewellery. Each piece she crafts reflects her personal journey, named after the people who have influenced her path. From Italy to Scotland and now Antwerp, her creations embody her transformation and embrace of a new life.

Specialising in the sand casting technique, Sara skilfully smashes sand into moulds, transforming molten silver into exquisite creations. In her workshop, you'll have the opportunity to craft your own ring or pendant using this technique and take it home the same day.

Sara's enthusiasm and dedication are infectious, as she not only possesses a passion for creation but also a love for teaching. Join her workshop and be inspired by her knowledge and creative spirit.
