Delve deeper into your journey of jewellery creation with Frédérique!
This enthusiastic artisan will welcome you to her workshop. You’ll start by getting to know her and familiarising yourself with the studio. She first refresh your memory of the theoretical basics of jewellery and goldsmithing, whilst also offering advanced insights on the tools, techniques and metals used.
Then, it’s time to embark on the practical part of the workshop! You’ll begin by deciding on the design for the various pieces of your jewellery set: a ring, a pendant, and a pair of earrings. Your goal? To create a harmonious set that's entirely personalised!
Depending on your preferences, you may choose from round discs (9 sizes available), various wires (round, square, of varying thickness), or strips (narrow to wide). You’ll also select your favourite metal for your creations: copper, brass, or silver.
From the selected metal sheet, you will then craft your jewellery. Determining a custom size, soldering, cutting out the plates with a jeweller's saw... Frédérique will be by your side throughout these steps, providing valuable tips to refine your technique.
All that remains is to personalise your creations by texturing them with your chosen pattern. Here you’ll have the option to use a texturing hammer (ball, line, point, sun effect, cross, gradient, textile, etc.), or a chisel to create a simple motif (oval, leaf, circle, point, line, triangle, beaded, shaded, etc.).
Once the finishing touches are complete, you’ll leave with an absolutely unique set of jewellery that you’ll wear proudly as a memento of this wonderful creative experience!
NB: A lunch break is scheduled during this workshop; please remember to bring your meal.

Jeweller
After several years in public administration, Frédérique decided to forge a new path in 2009.
With a degree in fashion design and pattern making already under her belt, she refined her vision and signed up for a jewellery design course. In tandem, she broadened her expertise with a variety of sessions exploring textiles in all their aspects, from design to knitting.
That same year, she launched her own jewellery line, which she named JAD, an acronym for Jewellery, Art, and Design.
Starting in 2016, she began offering a range of beginner courses and workshops in jewellery and goldsmithing, both face-to-face and online, working alongside fellow artisans.
With a passion for her craft, a curious mind, and a talent for teaching, Frédérique eagerly invites you into her world of techniques and materials, for an immersion into a craft that is as magical as it is sophisticated!
