The workshop in detail
Amélie is excited to welcome to her beautiful jewellery workshop, where you can discover the world of lost-wax casting!
Amélie will start with a theoretical introduction to this ingenious technique, which is so close to her own heart.
You will then have the opportunity to create a ring or a signet ring guided by Amélie's advice.
You can come with your inspirations: the jeweler can guide you in the creation of your ideas depending on the size and complexity.
To bring your creation to life, you will carve hard wax, known as carving wax, into your chosen design.
As you craft your ring, you can really play with texture: smooth, engraved, perforated, scored, etc. It's up to you!
Amélie will then cast the ring in silver and complete any finishing touches. Two weeks later, your creation will be ready to pick up.
Pssst! You will also have the opportunity to gold plate your creation for an additional fee, which is paid directly to Amélie.

Meet Amélie
Jeweller and Metal Caster
In 2015, Amélie discovered jewellery making and goldsmithery during a one-year art school exchange at New York University. The following year, she moved to Brussels, where she continued her training at the Institut des Arts et Métiers, specialising in jewellery and injection moulding. At the same time, she earned a master's degree in sculpture from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Each of her creations is inspired by a story, a memory, a snapshot of nature, a shape, a painting, or even a poem. She creates unique pieces of jewellery that forge her artisanal know-how into a wearable dream world. This talented artist won the Tremplin prize and exhibits her pieces at BeCraft. Amélie's specialities are injection moulding and lost-wax casting, and she is excited to share these techniques with you. She is keen to pass on her know-how and help participants experience the joy of creation! She will welcome you to her beautiful shared workshop, where you will have the opportunity to meet other artisans and discover their crafts and know-how.

Super atelier ! Amélie nous a tou.te.s parfaitement guidé.e.s dans l'élaboration de nos idées et la réalisation des bijoux. L'ambiance était chaleureuse et créative. J'attends avec impatience le résultat final maintenant, ce qui prolonge le plaisir encore plus. :)

Super atelier, les 4 heures sont passées très vite. Même si nous étions 5 Amélie a pris le temps de passer voir chaque personne durant tout l'atelier et donner ses conseils sans nous limiter. À refaire sans hésiter !

Amélie est très agréable et professionnelle. Elle explique clairement le processus et donne aux étudiants des exemples physiques de créations qu'ils pourraient envisager de faire eux-mêmes, tout en soutenant avec enthousiasme les idées d'un client. Elle aide les étudiants à atteindre un très bon niveau de cire finie, prête pour le moulage. Très patient et prêt à répondre à toutes les questions. La salle de travail est bien équipée et offre un environnement de travail confortable.

J’ai adoré l’atelier, Amélie a été à la fois pédagogue et aux aguets et à la fois confiante et patiente : de quoi nous guider tout en nous laissant bien prendre en main tous les outils et s’approcher au plus près de notre idée de bijou. Merci pour ces 4 heures passionnantes !
