Are you ready to unleash your inner artist and create a beautiful, large wall hanging of your own? Join fibre artist Hannah for this exciting 6-hour weaving workshop, where you'll learn the art of weaving from scratch.
You will start your project by selecting your favorite colours from Hannah's vast collection of yarns. You'll have the freedom to create a unique and personalised piece that reflects your personality and style.
Hannah will guide you through the basics of weaving, including how to warp your loom and create shapes using yarns with both straight edges and curvy lines. Then, you'll dive into different weaving techniques, exploring various patterns and textures that will make your piece truly one-of-a-kind.
As you weave, you'll also learn how to decide on your own unique patterns and designs, unlocking your creativity in a whole new way.
Finally, you'll put the finishing touches on your woven masterpiece by putting it on a dowel, creating a polished look that's ready to display in your home or office.
While you weave, Hannah will provide coffee, tea, and snacks to keep your energy up and your creative juices flowing. And at the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with a stunning big wall hanging (of approximately 50cm (L) by 30cm (W), or a similar size depending on your progress) that you can proudly display in your space.

Hannah Emerson is the talented fiber artist behind Tethered Twine. With a passion for creating beautiful, tangible pieces, Hannah has been a creative soul since childhood. Her love for drawing, painting and creating friendship bracelets paved the way for her artistic journey.
After obtaining degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts, Hannah's interests in macrame, weaving and crochet blossomed. She began creating stunning wall hangings that eventually led her to sell her pieces online in 2019. But that's not all, Hannah is also a data analyst, balancing her time between work and her passion.
Hannah's cozy shared atelier is where the magic happens. She's always eager to teach and share her knowledge with anyone who wants to learn. It's no surprise that she settled in Amsterdam after coming as a fille au pair for a gap year in 2010.
In recent years, Hannah has found joy in teaching workshops to share her knowledge and expertise with others. Her love for teaching is just as strong as her passion for creating, and she will be glad to welcome you at one of her workshops.
