For this day of outdoor immersion, Pascale will meet you in her flower field, a few minutes walk from her U-pick field.
You will have the opportunity to visit the field while following the information given by Pascale about the chosen production method, the choice of varieties and their seasonality, the cultivation techniques and the properties of each flower. This will be the moment to open your ears and ask all the questions you want!
Then, you will get your hands in the soil! Depending on the season, you can take part in picking from June to September, planting bulbs in November, or sowing in March-April.
After this productive morning, you will go to the U-pick field to have your lunch. Everyone will bring their own lunch for a convivial moment!
In the afternoon, you will discover another type of production. On the Cycle Farm Fleurs field, Pascale cultivates a U-pick field. She will present the specificities of this production method. With her pruning shears in hand, you will be able to pick your own bouquet by following her advice!
Give free rein to your creativity and play with shapes and colours to create your bouquet!
Bouquet in hand, you can still relax on the bench at the foot of the flowers to recharge your batteries in the fresh air!
Psst! Remember to come equipped. This workshop takes place outside and not in a greenhouse. So dress according to the weather, bring appropriate shoes and clothes that you can get dirty.
Workshop location
The workshop is easily accessible by public transport.
This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Pascale started her professional life as a graphic designer.
During a holiday in France, she discovered the beauty of flower gardens.
In 2015, she decided to change careers to make a living from her passion and took a course in organic market gardening.
The adventure really began when she joined the Cycle Farm producers' cooperative located south of Brussels. There she grew aromatic plants and edible flowers for curious and creative restaurateurs. Eventually, she decided to focus on cut flowers.
She then launched a pick-your-own flower project called 'Cycle Farm Fleurs' which suited her better! The principle is simple. You pick a bouquet yourself following Pascale's advice and pay according to her instructions; an approach based on trust!
Pascale is a member of the Belgium Slow Flowers movement, which promotes flowers that are grown with passion locally, respecting nature and the seasons.
Her field is a real corner of paradise where vegetables and flowers cohabit and delight passers-by as well as producers! It's a haven to come and breathe and recharge your batteries!
