Join Estitxu, a master of Verre Églomisé, for an inspiring workshop. You'll start by learning the basics and then use specialist tools such as the gilder's cushion, point and knife to apply delicate layers of gold and silver leaf. No previous experience? No problem! Estitxu will make sure everyone feels comfortable and will guide you step by step.
Next, dive into creative techniques, experimenting with distressing metal leaf to create unique finishes. You'll then create patterns and drawings on your gold-plated glass, adding personal touches that will transform it into a stunning work of art. Finally, Estitxu will show you how to use pigments for luxurious colour effects and apply protective varnish to preserve your creation.

Meet Estitxu, a talented artisan with over 30 years experience in the delicate art of glass gilding - also known as Verre Églomisé. Her passion is transforming sheets of glass into masterpieces using gold, silver and copper leaf, combining ancient techniques with modern innovations. Estitxu's bespoke creations range from stand-alone works of art to eye-catching decorative panels and unique pieces of furniture.
Beyond her own artistry, Estitxu enthusiastically shares her knowledge with others. She's keen to inspire a new generation to appreciate and create with this timeless art.
