Welcome to the ceramic workshop of Gioia and Franco !Gioia brings decades of experience, while Franco adds his innovative touch, making this the perfect place to explore ceramics.
On arrival you will be immersed in the history of clay and ceramics, learning about traditional methods and modern advances.
Then get ready to dive in! You will start by making a simple herb picking bowl. Under the guidance of Gioia and Franco, you will learn to work with clay on the wheel, from mixing it to shaping it with precision.
You will see your creation take shape as you spin the wheel! Once it has dried to the right consistency, Gioia and Franco will help you add holes and trim it for a polished finish.
Next you will choose from a selection of three colours to glaze your bowl, with Gioia and Franco offering advice along the way.
After finishing touches, your creation will be fired and ready for collection in three weeks.
