    Looking for a fun and interactive team building experience? Join Paula for a cheese making workshop where you and your colleagues will be immersed in the world of artisan cheese making! 

    The session starts with an introduction to the fascinating process of turning milk into cheese. Paula will guide you through the two basic curdling methods and teach you how to make two different fresh cheeses from scratch. Working in pairs, you'll share a pan and make your cheeses, experimenting with a variety of herbs and spices to personalise your creations.

    Once your cheeses are made, the experience culminates in a delicious tasting session where you can sample your freshly made cheeses. It's the perfect way to enjoy the fruits of your labour and bond with your team. As a bonus, each collaborator gets to take their two handmade cheeses home to enjoy later.

    For those who want to continue their cheese-making journey at home, Paula offers the option to purchase a kit complete with recipe cards for making your own pressed cheese. For an additional fee, you can also extend the experience with a post-workshop meal with options such as cheese fondue, an extended cheese tasting or burritos with salad and sides. Please indicate if you are interested in this option when making a request. 

    This workshop is a unique and enjoyable way to collaborate, learn and, of course, indulge in the art of cheesemaking!

    Workshop location

    You can find paid parking nearby, but the venue is especially easy to reach by public transport or bicycle.

    This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

    Cheesemaker and designer

    Paula's journey as an interior and product designer is deeply interwoven with her rich cultural heritage and personal experiences. Born in Mexico, her life's trajectory took her from Memphis to Chile to France and currently the Netherlands. These diverse cultural influences are evident in her work, particularly her love for vibrant colours and dynamic designs, a nod to her Mexican roots.

    Her connection to food, especially traditional Mexican cuisine, plays a pivotal role in her creative expression. In Amsterdam, a longing for Chilean cheese inspired her to explore cheese-making, leading to the creation of 'Shaping Cheese' - a series of elegantly designed porcelain moulds for home cheese-making.

    This culinary venture extended into 'De Kaasserie,' where Paula merges her design expertise with her passion for food. Through cheese-making workshops, she offers others the opportunity to create and share in the joy of artisanal cheese. For Paula, 'De Kaasserie' is not just a business, but a personal space where she reconnects with her heritage and invites others to discover their own sense of belonging through the art of cheese-making.
