Meet Elena for an engaging and mindful journey into the ancient art of basket weaving. This workshop is perfect for your group to bond while learning a cultural craft that encourages collaboration and creativity.
With a background in design, Elena uses surplus materials such as leather, rattan and textiles to create unique designs, embodying sustainability in her work. She will begin by introducing herself and her brand, followed by a brief history of basket weaving to appreciate its origins and significance in different cultures.
Elena will then guide your group through the technique of basket weaving, demonstrating different styles and methods. In this hands-on experience, you'll learn to manipulate materials and create your own woven object, whether it's a coaster, tray or ornament.
As well as stimulating creativity, this workshop encourages your staff to network and share ideas, building team spirit. In the end, each group member will leave with a beautifully crafted piece, along with newfound skills and a deeper appreciation for this ancient craft.

With a background in design and working in different agencies, Elena now thrives in a setting where her hands craft the narrative.
Her creative sanctuary now lies within the cosy, minimalist confines of her studio, where surplus materials are given a second wind.Ā
Leather, rattan and textiles are her canvas, through which she crafts unique designs.
Her love for crafting isnāt confined to her studio; it extends into the workshops she hosts. With a blend of knowledge, passion and a hands-on teaching approach, Elena not only inspires others to see the latent potential in surplus materials but also fosters a space for creative interaction and growth.

It was an absolute pleasure having Elena come to our office to run two basket weaving workshops, and we all really enjoyed it. Her patience and attention to detail ensure that everyone is well taken care of and that each step of the process is followed. She also encouraged creativity and taught us different waving techniques, so that by the end of the session, each basket had a completely different look which is great. It is great to see that the baskets that we made are being used at home in various ways. Such an amazing workshop!
