Rachel invites enthusiasts to a comprehensive four-hour workshop, designed to introduce the technique of moulded pottery. Within the walls of her modern studio, participants will engage in the process of rolling clay slabs, adorning them with coloured slips, and utilising plaster moulds to form a cohesive tableware set, comprising a plate, side plate, bowl and ramekin.
Under Rachel's expert instruction, attendees will explore the nuances of surface decoration, employing textures, stamps and carving to add a unique flair to their creations. This hands-on workshop is structured to provide an authentic insight into pottery craftsmanship, enveloped in a creative and supportive atmosphere.
Participants are encouraged to personalise their tableware set with a palette of glazes chosen from the studio's curated selection. The culmination of their efforts will be ready for collection from the studio after three weeks or alternatively, delivered directly to their doors for Ā£6.00.
With the workshop accommodating no more than four individuals, each participant is assured a considerable degree of personalised attention, ensuring an interactive and focused learning environment. Rachel's studio is outfitted with the latest ceramic tools and equipment, including a range of clays, slips and glazes. Aprons are provided.
Each tableware set will undergo two firings in an electric kiln, reaching the pinnacle temperature of 1260 degrees, to seal the craftsmanship with a professional finish.

This was such a super workshop. Rachel is an excellent teacher and her studio is modern, clean and well appointed. Class sizes are small and you get plenty of attention and assistance if needed. I really enjoyed learning the basics and being given some freedom to experiment and explore. Good value for money too ā¦
Thanks Rachel š I might have caught the clay bug!!
