  • Join Mihaly for a four-week hand building pottery course designed for both complete beginners and those looking to brush up on their skills!Ā

Over the course of four consecutive weeks you'll be immersed in the wonderful world of ceramics. Under the guidance of your experienced tutor, Mihaly, you'll learn essential techniques such as coiling, pitch pots, slab building, glazing and decorating. Each class is structured to build on the skills learned in the previous session, allowing you to develop your skills progressively.

All the tools and materials you'll need are provided, so you can concentrate on honing your craft. Mihaly will be on hand to offer tips and guidance, ensuring you feel confident and inspired as you create your pottery masterpieces. At the end of the course you'll be able to take home finished pieces you've made yourself!

This course is perfect for individuals, couples and groups looking for a fun activity to do together - whether you're planning a team building event, a single date night or even a late night. It's suitable for adults and children aged six and over, so you can even take your little ones on a creative outing. Just remember that if you have a child, an adult must be present and you only need to buy one ticket if you're supervising.

We recommend that you come with short nails to make the pottery process easier as you'll be using your fingertips to shape and form the clay. After your first session you can book further sessions at a time that suits you, giving you flexibility in your pottery journey.

Sign up today and start your exciting pottery adventure! Whether you create a set of unique mugs or elegant bowls, you're sure to enjoy every moment of this hands-on experience.

Note: The price of the workshop includes all the days defined in the description. Booking on the Wecandoo website only allows you to book the date of the first session. All subsequent sessions must be booked directly with the artisan. In the case of consecutive days, the rest of the workshop will automatically take place the day after the first day booked.

    Meet Mihaly

    Ceramic Artist

Mihaly's journey into the realm of clay is a fascinating one. Before his pottery journey, Mihaly explored various creative endeavours. He manages a Hungarian restaurant, The Rosemary, where his pottery studio resides.

Mihaly is self-taught, meticulously crafting all the exquisite crockery adorning the tables at his restaurant.

The artisan's approach is distinct, emphasising ethical, local and organic practices. He relies on the potter's wheel's precision and the ancient art of Raku firing to breathe life into his creations.

Mihaly's mission is to share the therapeutic nature of working with clay, inviting others to discover their creative potential.

Inside his workshop, you'll find a cosy wooden sanctuary nestled behind the restaurantā€”a space where creativity thrives. You'll want to stay for hours!

As for Mihaly himself, you'll find him to be a delightful blend of humour and attentiveness. He's your creative confidant, always ready to assist and inspire.
