Join Wayne, a master of stone carving, in his incredible North London workshop. Guided by Wayne's expertise, in this workshop you will transform stone into a personalised work of art. Stone carving is an ancient art form, which Wayne brings alive through modern typography styles and his fun teaching methods.Ā
You start the workshop by sketching out your vision on paper, so you may want to come along with some ideas, but there is also plenty of inspiration in the studio. You are fully encouraged to unleash your creativity! Wayne will teach age-old carving techniques, starting with selecting your perfect stone, then guiding participants to precisely use a hammer and chisel.
You will experience the tactile joy of sculpting and shaping your stone, a satisfying and mindful process. With each chisel stroke, your piece will be getting closer and closer to its final form.
During the class you will be working alongside your fellow participants, inspiring each other and forming new connections. Wayne's workshop is a haven of shared passion and artistic exploration, and all participants are encouraged to push the boundaries of their creativity.
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with newfound knowledge and skills, new connections with creatives and of course,Ā your unique creation carved from stone. Something you can treasure forever!
