Wecandoo - Meet Green Wood Guild

    Meet Green Wood Guild

    Woodworker

Meet Tim, a talented artist who found his passion for woodworking through a serendipitous journey. With a background in graphic design, Tim's curiosity led him to explore the art of craftsmanship and delve into the world of wood.

His journey began in 2015 when he crossed paths with the renowned woodworker, Barn the Spoon. Working alongside Barn, Tim honed his skills in traditional wood techniques, immersing himself in the intricacies of this timeless craft. What started as a fascination with understanding the process of creation evolved into a deep love for working with wood.

Tim's path took an exciting turn when he discovered The Green Wood Guild. Here, he embarked on a transformative experience, learning the art of woodworking without any prior formal training. Guided by his mentor, Barn, Tim mastered the craft, allowing his creativity to flourish.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Tim dedicates his time to teaching. Twice a week, he shares his expertise with children facing social disorder issues at a specialised academy. Teaching holds a special place in Tim's heart as he believes in empowering individuals, regardless of their experience, to take pride in their creations. His genuine joy in connecting with new people and nurturing their talents is what truly fuels his passion for teaching.

The Green Wood Guild, an extraordinary institution, serves as the backdrop for Tim's artistic journey. It offers a diverse range of courses that celebrate the time-honoured woodworking skills and techniques. Rooted in the tradition of working with hand tools and using freshly harvested wood, the Guild embodies the essence of green woodwork. It is a place where creativity meets craftsmanship, and where the raw beauty of wood is transformed into magnificent creations.

Tim, with his calm demeanour and profound expertise, breathes life into each piece of wood he touches. His dedication to his craft and commitment to sharing knowledge create a unique and enriching experience for all who encounter his work. Discover the world of woodworking through Tim's hands, and let the beauty of wood captivate your imagination.
