  • Welcome to Farah's jewellery workshop!

Farah will start with an introduction about her passion for jewellery, which she has had since she was a teenager. With a degree in 3D design and metalwork, she brings over 20 years of experience to the table, drawing inspiration from botany, travel and everyday life.

Farah will then ensure that all participants are briefed on health and safety protocols, creating a safe environment for learning.

Now for the practical aspects of jewellery making. Under Farah's guidance, you'll learn how to use a torch and various tools effectively, laying the foundations for your own creations.

Once you've mastered the basics, it's time to dive into the core techniques. From cutting and shaping metal to soldering, each step is precise and methodical. Sanding and polishing add the finishing touches, transforming raw materials into polished pieces.

You'll have the freedom to choose whether you want to add texture or leave the surface smooth, allowing for personal expression in your design.

You'll leave Farah's workshop with your own silver rings and a new appreciation of craftsmanship and sustainability.

    Meet Farah

    Jeweller

Meet Farah, who has been making jewellery since she was a teenager. With a degree in 3D design and metalwork, she has been selling her designs for over 20 years and teaching metalwork and jewellery making for much of that time.

Farah draws inspiration for her jewellery from a variety of sources, including a close study of botany, travels around the UK and beyond, and everyday objects found in her surroundings. Her designs reflect a blend of natural elements and personal experiences, resulting in unique and captivating pieces.

Ethics and sustainability are at the heart of Farah's business practices. She prioritises the use of recycled materials to reduce environmental impact and ensures that her gold is sourced from Fairtrade suppliers, benefiting the communities associated with the mines.

Farah works from her small but welcoming studio, which doubles as a showroom for her creations.

Her passion extends beyond creating jewellery; she also enjoys teaching workshops to share her expertise with others.

In summary, Farah brings years of experience, creativity and a commitment to sustainability to her work.
