In this fun workshop, you'll learn the basics of silversmithing, including safety instructions, an introduction to the tools you'll be using and how to correctly size your piece. You'll then have the chance to explore a range of designs and choose your favourite to recreate.
With Charlotte's expert advice and guidance, you'll sketch out your designs for both a pendant and pair of earrings. Then, get hands-on with cutting, forming, and texturing the metal, and master the delicate art of soldering.
Once your pieces are formed, you'll file and clean the metal before polishing it to a brilliant shine.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a beautiful pair of earrings and a pendant that you crafted yourself, with Charlotte's support. Jeweller
Introducing Charlotte, an exceptional jewellery artist. With a degree in jewellery and silversmithing, 10+ years of experience, and a travel bursary award from RSA that took her to China to explore her craft, she's gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Charlotte sources her own high-quality materials, creating unique pieces that meet very high standards, selling her jewellery online and also taking private commissions. Not only is she a skilled craftsperson, but she's also a friendly and kind person who loves to share her passion with others. Charlotte has been teaching jewellery and silversmithing for years and loves to pass on her skills.
Charlotte's space in Hackney, East London, is a bustling creative space, and she finds inspiration in the community of makers around her.

I absolutely LOVED this jewellery course. I’ve done quite a few, but this was by far the best. Charlotte gave me just the right amount of help and encouragement. As a result, I managed to make a beautiful necklace and earrings too in the session. A thoroughly lovely day and I hugely recommend it!
