  • Join Maria in her kitchen for a delightful pastry and baking workshop where you'll learn the secrets behind some of the most delicious treats. The session begins with an introduction to Maria and her impressive culinary background.

    The first practical activity is mastering choux pastry, the basis of the perfect profiterole. Maria will guide you through the piping techniques needed to create beautifully shaped choux, ensuring your profiteroles are light, crisp and ready for filling.

    Next, you'll bake a traditional loaf cake, renowned for its soft, airy texture. Maria will guide you through the process, giving you expert tips on how to achieve the perfect rising and even baking.

    To finish off the day, you'll make mini orange bundt cakes. Maria will share her secrets for achieving the ideal balance of flavour and texture, so you'll leave with cakes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

    At the end of the workshop, you'll take home your freshly baked profiteroles, loaf cakes and bundt cakes - the perfect memento of a fun and productive day in the kitchen!

    Meet Maria, a talented chef with a real passion for pastry and confectionery. After training at Westminster Kingsway College and Lakefield College, where she qualified as a Level 3 Professional Chef, Maria spent the next seven years sharing her culinary skills in her professional kitchen in West Hampstead.Maria's approach to teaching is warm and welcoming, whether you're a beginner or an experienced foodie. In her kitchen, you'll have the opportunity to explore and perfect a wide range of techniques, from making delicate pastries to creating exquisite confections. Maria will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel confident in your skills and leave with a delicious result.
